Summer is quickly approaching and thoughts of summer fun abound. Children are out of school, dreams of wonderful vacations fill our heads, and the beauty of nature surrounds us.

I overheard a discussion between friends about what music would be appropriate for an upcoming beach vacation. One of the ladies was treating her mother to a trip to the shore and she needed suggestions of music that would appeal to both generations. The group came up with many suggestions from the Beach Boys to Jimmy Buffet and the accompanying summer memories brought smiles to everyone.

This week, cull your music collection to find music you have listened to in summers past. Music that brings happy memories to mind and fills you with the energy of a child. Organize these tunes so that you will have them available to enjoy all season. You’ll be prepared for summer car trips, backyard barbecues, and most especially for those quiet moments alone at home. These bright, sunny, upbeat songs will be the perfect accompaniment for your Weekly Home Blessing Hour and decluttering sessions all summer long.
