Paint Removal without Chemicals

Dear FlyLady,

Oh my gosh! I have a 130 year old antique Rococo style upright piano. I recently purchased the purple rags although I have a large collection of microfiber cleaning cloths.

These purple ones are amazing….how do I know? I dampened one slightly and lightly rubbed some old green paint on an 8″ edge of the piano.

It probably got there when the piano was moved out of an old house back in the 70’s but I was afraid to try to remove it with a chemical. I read another testimonial about the old paint on a car fender that one of your fans rubbed off. I lightly rubbed and the old green paint came off like magic!

I am thrilled. The finish on the piano is untouched, just gleaming. Thank you so much. This may be one of the top five uses for these amazing rags.
