Today’s Morning Musing is about consistency! As FlyBabies we have never stuck with anything for long. We have a tendency to go full steam ahead and then do too much too fast; then we crash and burn! After that we let the guilt eat away at any self-esteem we have left. This has got to stop!
Just because you miss one day does not mean you have lost! Our motto is we are never behind and we can jump in right where we are! We start fresh each day and don’t look back and beat ourselves up with the what-ifs of life! Now we deal with What-Is!
We all have 15 minutes! You may not think you do, because you are stuck in your whiny attitude of stinking thinking. The truth is, if you choose, you can do anything you desire! All it takes if 15 minutes!
Our routines have been built with babystep consistency! One small habit at a time! We didn’t overwhelm ourselves by trying to do a full blown routine right off the bat! If you are struggling with your routines then you may have cut off more than you can chew at one time.
Write down on paper 3 things to do in the morning and 3 in the evening. Once these become a habit, you can easily add a couple more of those babysteps. As you build your full routine, it becomes easier each day. We sometimes need to check our written down list to make sure we have not left anything out, but as you go through the motions, the movement and flow to your day become part of you! This is how my Morning Musing has become part of my routine. As soon as I get finished with my morning routine. I have found that if I don’t do it first thing in the morning as part of this routine; it doesn’t get done! Do I beat myself up over this, NO! I start fresh each morning and practice my dance steps to my day!
Now on the first day of the rest of your life. Don’t look back! Build your routines one habit at a time. Dance through your day!
