Finding Freedom in a Blizzard

Dear FlyLady,
I live in Maryland, and so far we have about two feet of snow.  This is the weekend that my husband and his friends take all the kids (who are in their twenties now) skiing, so I’m alone.  I’m 58 years old.
I was reading an article online about how people get hurt and have heart attacks when they are shoveling.  The article said that people overstress their bodies because shoveling is “task-oriented” and people want to finish the whole thing in one go.  Not like the treadmill at the gym, where people work out for a specified amount of time.
Ding ding ding, went my brain.  I can do the shoveling 15 minutes at a time.   I figure four times today about an hour and a half apart and then I CAN QUIT and go back inside and enjoy my clean FlyLady home with no guilt.  Four times tomorrow.  The shoveling probably won’t be done but it will be good enough.
Finding freedom in a blizzard and thanking you from the bottom of my heart,
Allison
