My daughter and I are Happiness File partners. I created my card file according to your book when my daughter was a toddler. It helped me get out of a really abusive marriage and guided me to find my passion and bring it into my daily life which has made me a much happier person. I don’t know when I quit using the file. I think I just gradually got out of the habit.
Now I’m a grandmother because my daughter has three children. Time flies and when she came to me for help with getting organized (she’s a true SHE) I went to my bookshelf and pulled out The Happiness File for her. One of the great things about that book is its message is timeless and it directs us to celebrate every month to the fullest.
I made a new file that fits my life today and helping her is sharpening up my organizational skills. Six years ago, I remarried and this time got an amazing husband who shares my passion is fun-loving and cooperative and is all for improving our home and life together. We are musicians. He plays piano and I play violin. Together we make beautiful music and we’re organized!
Incidentally, my daughter loved one of the February assignments to buy 12 Valentines and send one to your husband once a month. I remember wishing I wanted to do that with my ex-husband, but I knew he’d find something negative about that. I’m so thankful I was able to get out of that marriage. Thank you Pam and Peggy and thank you Happiness File.
Pam here: I’m so glad I was able to record the Happiness File for you. It’s also available as a digital download for your e-reader or you can get a PDF file. It is divided up into monthly focuses and I still love to read the chapter for the month I’m in at the beginning of each month. It really helps to focus my SHE mind on what’s really important. Over the years, I’ve received many letters from readers who were able to improve their marriages or get out of ones that couldn’t be saved. To listen to a sample or to purchase, please click here:
