Dear FlyLady,

I first heard about you from my sister, who said “I know you keep a clean home with routines already, but you need to check out FlyLady! I am trying it, and her systems are awesome! I think they might work better than yours.”

I went ahead and signed up right away and she was right! My house stays cleaner, we are happier, I am getting more done and NOT yelling at my kids anymore. I am so thankful for you because my husband has JUST injured his knee and needs to have surgery. I know now that not only will I have the house to keep up with, I will have to return to work full time (I was a stay at home mom) as well as be responsible for taking care of my 3 kids, making meals, and taking care of my husband, too.

I took some deep breaths and started to make a list of routines around the house I could do while working full time and I didn’t have to! I had your routines down pat! I know how to meal plan, I know how to answer the dreaded “what’s for dinner” question, and I know how to get a lot done in 15 minutes.

You have been such a blessing also because I knew that I would have to teach my kids to pick up the floors and keep the clutter out of the way so my husband can walk from room to room without falling, and they are already in the habit there too! I know that I can keep up with zones and keep the common areas of the house tidy, and it doesn’t have to be perfect, but everyone will still be blessed.

Until the surgery, my husband is enjoying taking baths in a clean tub, and getting into a made bed every night. Thank you for this kind of peace, as we are stressed out about finances (but I am giving that to God) and it is so nice to not have to worry about my home. Thank you for sharing yourself with the world!
