This is just a quick testimonial to share with you a way that I have customized your program to fit my needs. I found that I am pretty consistent with my Morning Routine, but that when I return home after work my motivation to do my Evening Routine was, well, quite low. After floundering for an extended period of time, I decided to read “Sink Reflections,” and I was reminded of the power of getting dressed to lace up shoes.
Here’s what I changed: right when I get home from work I change out of my work clothes and into my home clothes. This used to mean my sweats, but now I put on my favorite pair of jeans, a fun top, and sneakers and I am good to go! Just like you teach us, being dressed to lace up shoes tells our brains that it is time to get some work done. I used to feel guilty because my #1 job of taking care of my family was being pushed aside because I was “tired.” (Well, I was…had some underlying health issues that are almost resolved.) Now I am able to come home and love my family and FLY through my Evening Routine. Sometimes I laugh at myself because I feel like Mr. Rogers changing my sweater and shoes, but it works! Thank you for reminding me to keep it simple and that I can do anything for 15 minutes.
