December Habit #18 Decluttering Turned Into Pampering

Hi!  I don’t think I’ve ever written before, at least I don’t remember it.  Anyway, I was cleaning out dead ants from a hall cupboard where the ants and I had done battle.  As I was moving things out to clean, I realized that I had been wanting to clean out this cupboard and organize it for a while.  So I decided to just do it real fast and imperfectly.

As I was pulling stuff out, I saw an old bag of Epsom salt about 1/3 full that I didn’t realize was in there.  It had expired about 6 months ago, which made me laugh because I didn’t know it could expire.  But I used it anyway.  I put quite a few drops of my least favorite essential oil in it and placed it next to my shower.  (I was contemplating throwing out the essential oil but decided that if the Epsom salts really were expired and I couldn’t use them then the essential oil wouldn’t be wasted.)

At the end of my shower the next day, I used a couple of handfuls of the Epsom salts and rubbed them all over skin then rinsed it all off.  My skin felt aMAZing!!!  It was so soft.  It was exfoliated and had the essential oil residue on it.  And I really did feel pampered.  If was like a little bit of the spa in my bathroom.  And it cost me nothing! 👌🏼

So, I decluttered, did an anti-procrastination “good enough” organization of a hall cupboard, and created a free, yet awesome, pampering product for myself all at the same time.  “Winning!”
