May Habit #18 Something New At Work

Dear FlyLady,

I just have to say thank you for the encouragement to move.

This month I’ve started doing something new at work.

During my lunch hour I’ve started walking. I have also started bringing my lunch to work, since I usually have enough leftovers from last night’s healthier meal (before I would only eat fast food or frozen dinners), and then spend 45 minutes of my hour just walking around the neighborhood.

Just walking makes me come back to work more focused, more energized, and really in a much more positive mood. I feel so much happier, and I don’t feel like a giant slug anymore. My work is being on the computer and phone 8 hours a day, and then I go home, do my routines, and sit down at the computer for the rest of the night.

Having this time really helps me to be more peaceful throughout the whole day. My boss has even commented on the difference, saying how I haven’t seemed nearly as stressed.

So thank you!
