I’m so thrilled to see June’s habit! This is something I’ve been working since the beginning of the year, and have been doing so much better already. A little extra FlyLady encouragement can only help!
So here’s how I manage to get enough water throughout the day, that may help some of my fellow dehydrated FlyBabies: I have a full BIG glass (or at LEAST half of a certain very fabulous FlyLady stainless water bottle, haha) with every meal. Those are the easy ones, because of course we gotta eat!
Getting the rest has always been tough, but I found a perfect solution (for me anyway). I set two recurring daily alarms on my phone that say “Water!” — one at 11am and one at 3pm (of course this should be adjusted to fit your own schedule) — and when that alarm goes off, I stop whatever I’m doing and drink. A LOT.
Remembering to sip a little here and there throughout the entire day has never been something I could do, but having those alarms to remind me and getting a whole chunk of my daily requirement has made all the difference in the world! It’s amazing how much better we feel and function when we give our body what it needs. Such a simple thing…
