Over a couple of years, I had established most of your routines…getting dressed to shoes, shiny sink always, reboot laundry, bathroom swished and swiped, surfaces clear, keeping car clean and then I got pretty ill for four years. I am 5’9″ and got down to 114 pounds! I had no energy whatsoever and had to nap most afternoons for between an hour and a half to 3 hours.
I am happy to report that by the time I became ill, my Flylady routines were so established I automatically did them even zoned out with no energy and no motivation to do anything extra. I kept the house picked up with no thought, laundry was done, bills were paid, dinner was on the table for my sweet husband every night. I couldn’t have done this if all of my routines were not so ingrained and automatic, because there is no way my befuddled brain could have reasoned it out! Thank you Flylady!
I am happy to report that I am starting to have more energy and motivation for the “Flylady extras”, like cleaning out closets and drawers, culling boxes of photos, etc. I am so glad I am not starting with clutterpiles that could have happened when I was ill. I did not fall behind and can just pick up where I left off!
