I just read your email about what a miracle 2 minutes of work can do, and it made me want to share my closet story with you. I have been a flybaby for a few years now, and I’m happy to report that I am transformed and so is my house. The final clutter frontier for me is my closet. It was so scary and cluttered that I didn’t know where to start. Finally, about a month ago, I thought of what you would say. I imagined you saying, “Take one thing off the shelf. Do you love it? Can someone else use it? Is it trash?” That was the jump start I needed. Now my closet is almost completely decluttered. I can’t believe how much trash I was storing. After 11 years, I also unpacked our final box from when we moved here. Boy did I celebrate! Now I only have one milk crate of photos that I’m going through 5 minutes at a time. It’s a wonderful achievement and I thank you for teaching me how to be kind to myself!
