I have been fluttering with you for many years but re-committed to the Fly Lady system in January. With a baby on the way I desperately needed to free my house of chaos. It took me the better part of my pregnancy, but when the baby came in June my house was clutter free!
As any new mom knows, keeping a routine or schedule is nearly impossible. The chaos started to creep back in but It was the idea of a Before Bed Routine that saved me!
I started with setting a before bed routine for baby, which then merged with a before bed routine for the downstairs (including a shining sink), which then merged with a before bed routine for upstairs (complete with an outfit for tomorrow!)!
Now a process that was taking what felt like HOURS is quick and easy. The poor kitties don’t go to bed hungry any more and hubby and I have even been able to find a little quiet time to rekindle the romance!!
Thank you Fly Lady for taking the chaos out of home and motherhood one bedtime routine at a time!
Flying in RVA
Rebecca here: This month we are focusing on the before bed routine.
Part of this routine is gathering up everything you need for the following day and putting it in one place. This place is your launch pad. You will be able to grab and go!
Where is your place? Do you have a bag? A water bottle or your office in a bag?
Please share your own tips or stories on the benefits and blessings of the Before Bed Routine.
