I am amazed– simply amazed– by how well the purple rags work!! SO much so, that I simply had to write!

I live two blocks from an oil refinery. It blows off a LOT of oily, dirty, chemical-laden mist. This mist gets everywhere– on cars, on the house, on windows, and it is next to impossible to get rid of. I have tried all sorts of things to clean my windows; vinegar and newspaper, windex and paper towels, surface cleaners and dish towels– each with mixed results.  The dusty, oily film never seems to go away.

Yesterday, while waiting for my Dear Sweetie to come pick me up for our Friday date night, I was looking out the window on the front screen door. I could no longer stand the fact that I could barely see through it, and I remembered some of the testimonials I had read about water and the purple rags cleaning even very old soap scum from bathroom counters. I’d used them on mirrors and for sink-wiping and was always pleased with the results.

I grabbed one of my rags and used it (dry) on the glass. It wiped a lot of the dust off, but there was still that film that ALWAYS seemed to remain. So, I wet half of the rag and wrung it out, leaving it barely damp. I wiped the inside glass with the wet part, then dried it with the dry half of the rag. No more puppy nose and paw prints– just like everyone says in their emails. That didn’t really surprise me. I know FlyLady only sells things she truly believes in, and Flybabies wouldn’t say it got rid of puppy marks if it didn’t really do that.

So, now– the real test! I went outside and wiped the glass, didn’t even use a whole lot of scrubbing. I dried the glass, then went inside to look out and see the results. Oh, my gosh!!! It seemed like I was looking through an open, glass-less window! No streaks, no smears, no oily-dusty residue! Just clean, clear, beautiful viewing of the outside!!!

I am completely convinced that there is absolutely NOTHING these rags can’t clean! By using the rags, feather duster, Rubba Sweepa, and the mop, my routines and missions, my house is much more livable, and finally, now I can see outside!!!!

FlyLady here: What can I add about the Purple Rags in a Bag? They are amazing.

You use them, you wash them out, you let them dry and then you use them again!!! They really do clean the glass without leaving streaks!!
