Dear FlyLady and Crew:
I just have to thank you. Really, really thank you.
I am only a few days away from delivering baby #3 and I am at such a peace.
Before I found you, my house was a mess. Dishes all over the counter, dirty floors, unmade bed. I remember when someone would stop by unexpected and the dread that just washed over me was overwhelming.
After I had DS, I knew something needed to change. I did not want him living in a house like this. I don’t remember how I found you – I am just so thankful that I did. I shined my sink, got dressed to shoes – and the transformation REALLY happened after that. Everything else just fell into place.
This was 3 1/2 years ago.
Now, I get up with DH every morning (0500) and help him get out the door. The first thing I do the minute my feet hit the floor is I put on my socks and shoes. I have to. If I don’t, my body doesn’t wake up. It’s so weird. After he walks out the door, I jump right into the shower and get ready for my day. I am able to do the majority of my morning routine before the kids wake up – and I love being dressed to shoes and ready for them!
Our house is guest ready (which is good because next week we’re going to have a FULL house!) and I don’t have a lot of preparation work before everyone gets here. Just a quick vacuum and I’m good to go!
So, even though I am having another baby (which always makes life much more exciting – and maybe a little more hectic), I KNOW that I can handle it. I have my shoes, I have my routines and I have you – telling me that I CAN do this!
God bless,

FlyLady here: I am so proud of you for lacing up your shoes! Shoes tell your head that it is time to go to work! That is why they wake you up!
