The Real Magic is in Using These Tools

Dear FlyLady,

Last week I received my duster, I tried to find fault, I thought, am I just wasting money, are they just a gimmick? Before purchasing I went to the store to look at feather dusters and thought what’s the point? Well I used them and used them and used them! I’d sit down, see a cobweb and run and get my feather duster. I tried to find the miracle in it all and be a part of the testimonials but I could not compare them to anything because, hummm, I’ve never had a feather duster! Well now I’m proud to say, it is neatly displayed in my living room in a beautiful vase, where else would you put it?

Yesterday I received my rubba scrubba, I was so excited that it was purple and not blue as shown on the website, purple is my favorite color! One again I’d gone to the store to see could I find something similar after seeing it advertised on your website. I’m just a miserly type person. I hate thinking I’ve spent more than necessary on a product I could have gotten cheaper. I’d tired of using a rag, or even a scrub brush only to come up defeated. So when I ordered this I put the battle on hold. Well I got in late but I took a bowl of hot soapy water, sat on the kitchen floor and rubba scrubbed the grates on the
bottom of the fridge, done in less than 10 minutes. It was MAGIC!

Here’s what I have to say. Yes there may be a means to get these type items less costly! Yes there may be other ways to get the job done! But you bring excitement into these simple things, things I would not have sought out, but for your sales pitch! You made me believe that this magic duster will solve 15 minutes worth of life, and guess what it does, it’s medicinal to dust now! You made me believe that this ridiculous scrub brush with a name like rubba scrubba would release some mystical power, and guess what, it does!

But, the real magic is in using these tools, blessing yourself with having the tools you need when you’re ready! I keep saying that I have been out of circulation for over two years dealing with life, or not! And, I’ve been an occasional FlyBaby for years, and have sang your praises only to fall back off the wagon, but even one day back is better than not! But if my spending a few extra dollars would bless a new FlyBaby by keeping FlyLady alive, even when I’m outta circulation, then let it be so! When we’re dealing with our mind/body/spirit clutter it’s so much easier to have someone like you and your team to take out the guess work. If I can do 15 minutes a day that’s 15 minutes I’m not thinking about crap, but blessing myself, which trickles down to my family and friends! And there is no price tag that can be attached to that!

Well, you’ve heard it all before, so I’ve gotta fly, I’m off to purchase my new FlyLady dish towels, I’M EXCITED!
