I like my water at room temperature, so I fill it, add a few pieces of fresh fruit, a splash of stevia water (by putting some stevia and water in an open container overnight somehow it takes the bitter after taste away) it gives it a little bit of flavor and with the pretty pitcher and cup it’s a special way to pamper myself.
So I came up with a game on our fridge. I drew a game board with a dry erase marker. It goes in a circle with 8 squares & a large start/finish space and ends where it begins.
I have been so reluctant to drink water that my friends and family have come up with all sorts of ways to help. It is because I live in Tucson, Arizona where in the summer 95 degrees is considered a cool day!
Your June habit of keeping hydrated has become much easier for me lately.
I’m 65 and husband 70. Both retired.
I’m so thrilled to see June’s habit! This is something I’ve been working since the beginning of the year, and have been doing so much better already. A little extra FlyLady encouragement can only help!
I must admit that my “fluid” of choice is not water, but as we all know water is the best for us. It keeps us hydrated and our body working as it should maintaining balance of our electrolytes and kidney function.
I am not fortunate enough to have one of the amazing water bottles everyone talks about so much, but it IS next on my list…I know it is time for me to have one, you see, because I am easily walking over a mile across my home and back, refilling my ice cube trays (in fact I had to buy three more to ensure enough ice) to my sink to fill my cup several times a day.
I am the very lucky recipient of TWO kidney transplants, August 1988 and December 2001. I was on dialysis for approximately five years total while waiting for those two amazing gifts of life.
I’ve discovered something amazing! For years I have been addicted to chapstick – I have a tube or tub of carmex in every purse, every pocket, & every drawer so I can always find one because I’m always losing them and I need them about once an hour.
