My friend Ann Sharpsteen begged me to do this. She has a way of getting me to do things that I would not normally do on my own. After all I don’t know why in the world anyone would even want to spend a weekend with me, but I have agreed to do an essay contest. You ONLY have two weeks to enter, the contest ends June 30, 2012. The winner will be announced July 11, 2012. The Promotion is open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia and Canada (except the Province of Quebec).
The prize for this Essay Contest is to spend the weekend in Brevard, North Carolina and spend some time with me. The FlyBaby (and a guest) who wins this contest will be flown into Asheville, NC on August 2, 2012 and will be flown home on August 5, 2012. So before you enter the contest check your FlyLady Calendar to make sure you are available that weekend. If you are afraid of flying in an airplane; you will be responsible for your own transportation to Brevard, NC.
You and your guest will be staying at the beautiful Greystone Inn for three nights.
On Friday Night we will be going to dinner at one of my favorite restaurants in Brevard, Marco Trattoria http://www.marcotrattoria.com/ before we attend a performance at the Brevard Music Center. http://www.brevardmusic.org/
The Boston Pops’ Conductor Keith Lockhart will be leading the Transylvania Symphony in a performance of Peer Gynt. Now this is really funny and I just figured this out when I looked up this play. Peer Gynt is a story of a life based on procrastination and avoidance. I can’t stop laughing. Isn’t this just the funniest thing for a FlyBaby and FlyLady to go see! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peer_Gynt
Saturday we will do some sightseeing in my beautiful home town and Pisgah National Forest. We might even see one of our famous white squirrels. That is what we are known for!
What you have to do to enter the contest:
Read the official contest rules.
Send an email to EssayContest@flylady.net with this important information.
Acknowledge that you have read the Contest Rules
Airport you would be flying from if you won
AND your 500 words or less essay.

I can’t wait to read your essays. Please don’t allow your perfectionism to get in the way of you entering this contest. You will NOT be graded on your punctuation, grammar, or spelling. I love getting to meet my FlyBabies. I have never had an opportunity to spend a weekend having fun with one of you!
