Dear Friends,
We have another Basic BabyStep Boogie. This one is your guide, but
you have to let go of your perfectionism for it to work. I guess that
is just about true for everything we do though. Our perfectionism
sabotages at every corner. We have to recognize when it is happening
and let our routines help us.
Your next BabyStep, I am going to break down for you into several
even smaller steps. Many of you get so overwhelmed by this that you
have continued to procrastinate about doing this. I know your
curiosity is about to get you. This week we are going to take the
babysteps to build or revise our Control Journals. Yes you heard me
right. This time you are really going to do this. NO MORE EXCUSES!
We are going to do this together.
If your routines have not been working then you may need to redo them
and tweak them just a little. Things change and we have to do is
rewrite them so that they flow again. So here is what we are going to
do.
I want you to find a 1 inch three ring binder. We all have them
around the house. Then just put it on your kitchen counter. If it has
one of those clear windows on the front then put a favorite picture
in or some of your family pictures. Then put some paper in it. It can
be lined notebook paper or just typing paper with holes punched in
it. Ten or fifteen sheets will be enough for now. Now don't get
perfectionist on me! This is not an art project you are going to be
graded on. This is a working rough draft. It is just a binder that is
going to hold your routines. Do you hear me??? Use what you have!
That is all we are going to do for now.

We are going to build this it this week.
