Big Dreams Can Come True by The FlyLady, Marla Cilley
Over ten years ago I started Flying! I set out on New YearŐs Day like most of you with a resolution to "get organized". I started with shining my sink. As each habit was established the CHAOS began to go away. After a few months of following my routines, people started asking for my help.
On December 7th I set up our email group. I had no clue what I was doing. I just did it. Our home was not telling me I didnŐt have time to take on something else. I was following the God Breeze what I know now to be my lifeŐs mission. That first year we had 10,000 people join. That made me realize that my FlyBabies needed a website. We found someone to build it for us along with an email delivery system that was customized for my time sensitive emails. We built the website and an email delivery system.
We never even got the chance to use it because we grew so fast. I had a Big Dream of wanting reminders to go out according to your time zone instead of Eastern Standard Time. I also wanted to put the essays into a folder and have to send on a specific date and time. We settled for using what we could afford because we did not have a way to pay for the servers or the bandwidth. You all were so patient and understanding. I never gave up my dream.
Over the past year I have watched Leanne, Jonathan and Eric jump in and use a wonderful tool for their communities. It is called BigTent! A few months ago I contacted Laney(the founder) and asked if we could discuss my dream of a time zone specific and date specific email notification system. Robert, Lee and I flew out to San Francisco to meet with their team. In June their team came to talk with us. We tossed our Big Dream out to them!
They have a can do attitude! After eleven weeks of planning, building, training and testing, we are ready to FLY . These lovely folks at BigTent took our Big Dream and made it a reality! I am excited about rolling out the new features to you! We will be doing them one at a time over the next few months.
I would like to thank all of the BigTent Team for their long hours and patience! I would also like to thank our FlyCrew for not giving up on our dream and most of all I would like to tell you how much I appreciate your ability to accept change. I know how hard it is for you. None of us like change but I promise this one is going to make things better for you in the long run.
If my house had stayed messy I would have never been able to become FlyLady! The God Breezes are blowing and I am still Dreaming Big! I will never be able to Dream as Big as God has planned for us! Release your clutter and watch your Big Dreams come true.
