Valentines Gift Ideas for Girls - Page 2

  1. I want a watch and some new shoes for flying.

  2. Someone to help w/ house - work

  3. I would love to have a day off. I am a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom of three. I can't remember the last time I had time to myself. I would like for him to take care of the kids, feed them and let me have the whole day to myself to shop, scrapbook or just enjoy the quiet!

  4. fine chocolate
    red roses
    bath salts
    loving
    overnight or weekend away

  5. Dear Fly Crew,
What I would like most this VD is for my husband to wash one pan. That is all, he insists that he will "do the dishes" but will not wash any pans. I am greatful that he helps clean up after meals that have been cooked for him but it would be nice once not to have to wash the pans.

  6. i would love to be suprised with a weekend getaway. we live in ft. lauderdale so even a cheap little hotel right on the beach would be just the perfect, relaxing gift.
actually, anything that he took the time to plan would be great. for example if he made reservations ahead of time, then knew the show times for the movies ahead of time, knew where he was going to take me for the perfect dessert, etc. just knowing that he put thought in to it makes the biggest difference. maybe even had a rose sitting on the car seat waiting for me. how sweet! anything out of the norm is great so that i would feel that it's a special night.
a candle light dinner (cooked by him or delivered from our fave restaurant) wouldn't hurt either!! :-) and nothing is more important on v'day than flowers!! who doesn't LOVE flowers!!
man, if i were a guy i'd make some lady very happy! :-)

  7. Chocolates and flowers are nice, but here's what I'd REALLY like to get for Valentine's Day!
Gift certificate to have a manicure and/or pedicure
Promissory note from DH that he will watch the children one day while I have lunch with an old friend
A 30 minute foot rub from DH - with a smile!

  8. I would like a day at the spa! Or maybe just a pedicure or massage!
Funny, you said that your hubby wanted a new rear bumper, mine wants a new tail light. He hit the house!

  9. soft pajama set

  10. I want a "Claw". Seriously, it's this garden tool that you poke it in, twist hard on the cross handle, and the three twisty blades beneath tear up the dirt to a depth of several inches. At Walmart they cost around $30, and as I'm a double-digger this would save me hours of time later this spring.
My husband is so romantic, he probably won't consider it. But for any of you guys where the guy/gal stereotypes are reversed, where the guy owns all the shoes and sings romantic songs and craves flowers on special days, but the GAL is tunnel-focussed on using every "holiday" as an opportunity to save money...in short, if your sweetheart would rather have dirt under her nails than polish on them...consider the Claw as a symbol of your passion and devotion to her.

  11. The usual...
    Day at the Spa
    Roses
    Victoria Secrets

  12. I remember my grandmother receiving a big red heart shaped box of candy EVERY year from my grandfather. When I was a little girl I would really admire those boxes of candy. Not just the candy but the big red heart box to! 2 years ago I started buying a big red box of candy for myself for Valentines Day. I am single with 2 ds who always get me a gift, but I still get the big red heart box for myself, it reminds of my grandmother and what a wonderful person she was. And I eat the entire thing myself without guilt! I can do that because we usually healthy with the Menu Mailer. I recycle the box after valentines day but I sure look forward to chosing a beautiful box while thinking of my grandmother and having that special treat. That is what I call Finally Loving Yourself!

  13. We always give something of ourselves, something a little sexy. A foot or back rub, breakfast served in a softly lit bedroom, a hot bath drawn and ready with bath oil music and some candles. It is the romantic thought not the money spent. So I was thinking some nice little coupons printed with a place to describe the coming gift and offer the receiver a bit of anticipation as to what is coming. Maybe we could even download them from the web site. Just an idea.

  14. 1. A day to myself to do my own craft projects, scrapbook, read, take a nap, etc.
    2. A manicure/pedicure at a nearby nail salon or the nearest cosmetology school.
    3. Instead of roses, which are marked up at this time of year and die in a few days, I'd love a nice plant for my garden (in my part of Texas we are probably done with freezing weather for the year) or my house that I can look at and remember all year long.
    4. A gift card to my local coffee shop. I got two for Christmas - from my mom and my husband. It has been so nice to treat myself to a coffee drink every once in awhile and not feel like I am being frivolous with my money!
    5. Anything handmade and from the heart that is made by my sons. Those precious cards and handprints are even more special as they grow older.
    6. A night of babysitting so that I can go out with my husband.

  15. One year my husband got me a dozen roses which was nice because he rarely gets me flowers. What I loved was that he attached a short love message or poem to each one for me, MJ

  16. I'm asking for new bras and panties! I rarely buy these for myself, and after boogying that drawer for the fling boogie, I realized I only have one set I really love! So, I wrote down my sizes and I can't wait! Besides, no ones going to see them but us! :)

-And, by sending him, I know I won't hear any complaints :)

  17. I want my husband ALL TO MYSELF: no kids, no computer, no tv, no tinkering with the cars or house.
I would also like a cute little piece of lingerie all wrapped pretty that he picked out himself.

  18. Hi Everybody-
Car washes! Nothing says "I love you" like a car you could actually maybe brush up against as you're loading children into it in the dead of winter w/o total fear of contamination because you brushed up against it. It's a nice finish to the Clean Car Boogie, by the way! ; )

    Love, FLYBaby in Saint Louis

  19. SILK FLOWERS (so they'll never die)

  20. something to make our house smell great

  21. The ideal gift for me this year is something I have wanted for a long time and have not purchased because it is "frivolous". A terry-cloth bath robe. If this sounds kind of pedestrian for the "romantic" holiday. I would suggest coupling it with some easy to find bath soaps and candles and you can use all of them to make that Valentines day special. All the girls I know are trying to avoid the chocolate this year, but try not to forget the flowers!

  22. a purse

  23. 1. One hour of quiet time.
    2. For him to put the kids to bed and get them settled.
    3. Popcorn and a rented movie.

  24. Hi FlyLady,
The best gift I ever received was a gift certificate to go to tea and a coupon for baby-sitting. My sister received the same gift and we went to tea together. We had a fabulous time! Then were so grateful to be back home with our hubbies and kidlettes. :)

  25. a massage
    a facial
    tulips
a gift certificate for good take (delivery service a plus)
a "movie night" basket - blockbuster gift card, popcorn, candy bar, etc.
a coupon for a single maid service
    sweetart hearts
    breakfast in bed

  26. I would love to get a english bulldog puppy for Valentine's day.

  27. Well I've only asked for one thing this year. I've asked for your "Sink Reflections" book.

  28. I would just like some flowers, maybe some chocolate. I will be making him an apple pie.

  29. I want a new Leather bound Bible with my name engraved on it. I'd like a purple one but I don't know if there are any good study Bibles in purple!

  30. Heart necklace, stud earrings, semi-precious right-hand ring. A great best-seller novel (romance?)

  31. In regards to Girl Gift ideas:
    1. Books! Gift certificate for books, even!! I have to say that sometimes just going to the bookstore is more of a reward than what I take home with me.
    2. Feng shui kits/books are wonderful. I want one so badly. The feng shui lifestyle fits in so perfectly with our "flylady" lifestyle that it's a perfect gift.
    3. The gift of time. If my DH would just allow me to sleep in one extra hour on Valentine's Day (note that it's a Monday), or go to bed early by taking over one of the routines for me, that'd be a gift from heaven.
    4. Let's get unorginal here, but yes, flowers. But NOT like the "I'm sorry flowers" that I get from time to time. For Valentine's Day I'd appreciate the flowers that we can't quite afford normally.
    5. Lastly, a gift certificate to our favorite resteraunt. It sounds silly to give it to me, his wife..but it'd be nice because it's not about any "money" we're saving so much as a promise to go out. It alleviates the "but we can't afford to go there" talk if he buys the gift certificate before we go!!

-M from IL. (also forwarded to my husband, because why else would I write this!?)

  32. I would just like to have my vehicle washed and waxed, and the inside cleaned.........a good detailing job. I asked for this for Christmas and my birthday for the last 2 years, but haven't gotten it yet. My Sweetie promised me he'd do it this past Christmas and birthday, but, it's February, and it hasn't happened yet. I bought myself this vehicle new 3 years ago, and it hasn't had a good wax job yet. I have severe osteoarthritis, and can't do it myself. I wanted to take it somewhere and have it done, but he says he can do a better job than the detailing shops. I sure would like to see it done!!!

  33. Dear FLYcrew,
A nice scented candle wouldn't count as clutter if it was loved and cherished.
A back rub would be remembered always.
Doing any part of the daily routines for me would be invaluable.
Making me lunch and putting in a small love note.
Turning off the phone and having my sweetie all to myself for a whole night could be magical.
    I hope this helps.

  34. I want another certificate to a day spa. I received a gift certificate for a mud bath and hair shampoo and style for Christmas and I used it and loved every minute. It was sooooooo relaxing! So I would love to have another one!!! This was wonderful "pamper me" time!

  35. I would like some roses (red, yellow or pink...or assorted)and some kind of heart necklace.

  36. I told my husband of 5 years (almost) (he's 60, I'm 52) that I would like a love letter from him for Valentine's Day and that I would do the same. His son who just got engaged on 2-4-05 thought that was a really neat idea, and was thinking of doing the same. We can pick up any old card and read what someone else thinks we should say to each other, but when I know that it has come from his heart, it will be something that won't be included in a 27 fling boogie! I read somewhere that when your spouse dies, it is the written letters that you will cherish the most. I guess the letters from my first husband that I divorced 10+ years ago will be included in the next 27 fling boogie.

  37. Another gift I would like is to be taken out for a really nice dinner.........not our usual 'hole in the wall places'. And then, I'd love a really good back rub.......to get all the arthritis aches out.

  38. I love tulips, and they don't have to be delivered.

  39. Dear fly crew,
Thanks for all you do. I'd like the silver crochet holder for my sewing needlework pin. It is bought one piece at a time and the hook caddy is my last piece.

    Thanks
    AZ flybaby

  40. Nightgown
    bubble bath or lotion
    gift certificate for a massage
    gift certificate for nails
    gift certificate for hair

  41. I am 8 months pregnant and have the worst leg and feet cramps ever. I would love a gift certificate to a spa or salon for a pedicure and massage.

  42. Last year my Husband knew I loved the movie and soundtrack of "Moulin Rouge" He surprised me with the DVD and soundtrack and a beautiful handwritten love letter. It was simple, romantic, and it showed he paid attention enough to know what I liked! He said that he knew I had the soundtrack when we were married and he found out that I sold it (along with other CD's) to be able to buy him a gift on our anniversary...he wanted to replace it. Sweet, Huh?

    Spokane Valley, WA

  43. I would love a basket of my favorite (and new to try) bath products and candles.

  44. I would like an outing of absolute escape. It can be in the day or evening, but it has to be someplace we don’t normally go. I don’t want to go to the same restaurant. I don’t want to go to the same movie theatre. I want an amusement park, a beach, a trip to the batting cageswhatever. Anything out of the ordinary. And most importantly, I want him to plan it and not ask me a thing about it. Just tell me what to wear and when to be ready. Now that would be a treat.

  45. Dear FlyLady,
For Valentines Day I would really love flowers... not the real kind, but beautiful silk flowers to make a nice centerpiece for our dining room table. That would make my heart smile!

  46. What I really want is
    Not perfume I have enough
Not chocolates Im removing weight and I want it to stay gone
Not sexy lingerie skimpy clothes on this body noooo not yet anyway
What I really want is Flylady Dusters, a T-shirt(purple is soo my fav colour) and some clings to bless my heart and my home
But alas I live on the other side of the world and they would get here it time. So for now some flowers can be what bless my heart and my home And the rest I will hint at my DH for my birthday.

  47. I would love, more than anything, a love letter.

  48. A pretty book mark for gals who love to read. (I like to check books out from the library, but some girls might also like a gift card to a bookstore--gotta buy Flylady's book!)

  49. Bath stuff: body washes, bath salts, bubble bath, candles.
And the ultimate: love notes - nothing better than a handwritten note from your sweetie. Last year my FI left one in my car seat in my car, melted my heart

  50. My niece is doing this for her girlfriends that don't have a sweetheart... a gift bag with a purse pack of Kleenex, some chocolate, a toy doll wrapped in aluminum foil (knight in shining armor - get it?) LOL, and a flower, i think that's all. I'd add a romance novel. It's a cute idea for those among us who are single SHEs.
