Valentines Gift Ideas for Girls - Page 4

  1. I would just LOVE a massage. A real 'professional' massage! It's something I just wouldn't treat myself to, but I'd love as a gift! I even had a facial massage one time....it included shoulders, arms, face, neck and head....it was actually better than the back & whole body massage!

  2. A box of See's truffles, a good detective book and 2 hours to enjoy.(not the whole box of candy, tho)

  3. A really mushy card ! A card so mushy that it makes me cry ! I don't need any more "stuff". I love it when my DH will take the time to stand in the store for half an hour to find the "right" card for us ! I just want to be acknowledged, appreciated and loved. I hope I can do that for him, too.

  4. I think I speak for alot of FLY babies who are married with kids and very busy. I would like some "alone time" with my DH. No kids, no link phones (my hubby is an EMT and gets called out even on his off days". A nice dinner where we get dressed nice, with anticipation of time with each other, you know a real "DATE". That is all I want. I don't care about gifts anymore. Just time......

  5. Dear Flylady,
What I would like more than anything for valentines day is to be acknowledged. I know that I am not perfect and neither is my house. (you noticed I said house and not home yet) Rather than hear about how bad things are and threatening to sell the house, I would like my husband to notice what is done. Comment on how clean the bathroom is or how shiny the sink is. Any thing that is positive and said with love is what I would like for valentines day.

    Thanks for asking,
    Flybaby K in Edmond, Ok

  6. I would REALLY love a few hours of my hubby's time to help and/or complete some home improvement projects around the house...you know all the stuff that has been needing to get done...you understand...guilt free!

  7. Tanning bed visits

  8. I would love to go out for dinner with my husband, and have actual adult conversation before and after dinner. He is usually in such a hurry to eat and run, I feel like I can't even finish eating before he's halfway out the door! A movie with a rating higher than PG would be nice, too, but only if he promises not to fall asleep.

  9. Dear Flylady,
As in the past you had mentioned taking bubble baths at the end of the day. Well, I think I would really like bath oils, bubble bath, lotion and a scented candle to relax by while pampering myself.

  10. A Roomba Robot Vacum

  11. Any act of service - vacuum the whole house, wash the dishes for a week, scrub the shower - ANYTHING! It costs nothing!

  12. Have the 4 boys and hubby fix dinner and clean up the mess. Kisses and hugs from all and Mom gets the remote control for the TV for the night.

    SMS,
    Escanaba, MI

  13. Flowers and candy are great, but what I REALLY want is kind of embarrassing... I'm all out of my favorite dish washing soap by "Mrs Myers" It smells of Lavender, etc, is all natural and makes the whole house smell good..and really shines those sinks! While I'm dreaming, I'm all out of the counter cleaner too.

    A gal w/ simple(but expensive) taste.

  14. I want a Nana Mouskouri CD with romantic French songs on it. I love Nana's voice (it's beautiful), plus the French lyrics help me remember my old schoolgirl French. I will enjoy it again and again while playing chauffeur to my DD.

  15. Dear Flylady and Crew
For Valentine's day, I would like breakfast in bed. And, the dishes done. Or, I would like to have a romantic dessert after the kids have gone to bed, in front of the fire. Nothing too fancy. Or, Lindt Lindor chocolates- preferably milk chocolate.

    Thanks!
    FLybaby L in Victoria, BC

  16. I would like a nice pretty purple indoor Heather plant or Stargazer Lillies.

  17. FlyCrew,
Actually, I want the same thing that I got for a combination gift for my birthday, our anniversary/Valentine's Day (our ann. is on the 10th and Valentine's is his DF birthday, so we combine these two), and mother's day. My dh is a Marine and has missed all of our anniversaries and most birthdays. So last year he got me a miniature rose bush (which I killed by transplanting too early into a bigger pot :( ). I simply adored his thoughtfulness. I love roses, but he won't buy them cut because they don't last so he bought me a whole bush! It was the best gift ever. Until this year when we can actually celebrate our first anniversary together for our fourth anniversary! It is going to be wonderful just to have him home on that day. Thanks for everything.

  18. A formal family portrait and a maternity portrait. Flowers fade, whereas pictures of our wonderful family only remind me of my blessings.

  19. My mama friends and I are doing a re-gifting (aka white elepahant) gift exchange when we get together for our weekly playdate. We're all looking through our homes for those sweet gifts that someone gave us once apon a time that we just aren't using. If all goes well, we'll each get a little something that we like. Certainly, all of us will get rid of some clutter.
What I'd like: professional massage followed by dinner out. Mulch for my garden (hey, it's spring, well, nearly). Chocolate. Fragrant flowers (not roses). A year of surprise mama nights out (that is - my husband surprises me with girls nights out with my friends.) I live in Seattle, so a ferry boat ride with a picnic on board. A love letter. Pedicure. A henna party for two. My kitchen windows repainted.

  20. I’m on a diet for ADHD. It’s called the Feingold program. It works, but it makes it hard to find certain things. I would like for my DH to go online, to Squirrel’s Nest www.squirrels-nest.com all natural candy, and order me the large sized heart shaped box of chocolates. I don’t want to have to order my own gift, I want him to go to the trouble.

Thanks for asking! It was nice to say it out loud.
    Sincerely, a devoted FLYbaby,

  21. I made a coupon book of small things to do for him.
    Example...
    1) full body massage
    1) back massage
    1) afternoon/evening/morning of cuddling
    1)evening alone without the kids
    1) day of calling off work early for us time etc
1)sweetheart day - this is a day just for the special man, he gets breakfast in bed, his favorite meals cooked or he can simply take the day off and go hang out with his freinds and play golf or whatever. Since I am a mechanic I also included tune ups and oil changes in his book.

let your imagination run wild with this one!

  22. Dream....Just me and my sweetie away in a cabin with a wood burning fireplace, candles, romantic music and plates of delectable appetizers. And of course chocolate.
Realistic....Just me and my sweetie going for a stroll and then enjoying food at our favorite Japanese restaurant (with the curtain drawn closed) and finally go home to give each other quality body massages. And of course chocolate.

    M-m-m-m-m-m.

  23. A gift certificate to a massage at the local chiropractor's office, with child cared for, so upon coming back home, the relaxation can continue.

  24. I'd like if he could make some special time for us. He's an accountant and we don't see him much this time of year, so time is the greatest gift of all.
I'd also love anything he could make for me with our 3 year old son. The fact that they're spending time together makes me happy and our son would grow up knowing the importance of giving gifts as well as receiving them.

  25. Dearest FlyCrew,
When my hubby asked me what I would like for V-Day (our first as a married couple by the way) I asked for a new gold chain for my "R" pendant cause the old chain broke (and yes, I boogied it as scrap gold for cash - the best boogie! Lol!) and the new chain will only replace the old and keep my beautiful "R" from being 'clutter!"

  26. Being in the last weeks of pregnancy, I would absolutely love a great massage (the whole bit – back, feet, legs) for Valentine’s. A little extra snuggle time would be nice too!

  27. My favorite valentine, Having a list of things we love to do together and being given the choice of 5 to do in the coming weeks...

  28. I want a weekend evening when my husband cooks dinner, then takes care of my son for the evening so I can do whatever I want without having to get up in the middle to get a drink or get him a bath and tucked in, then a nice long bubble bath with no interruptions followed by a massage.

  29. I love JEWELRY. My husband is getting me earrings to match the beautiful bracelet he bought me for Christmas.

    Thank you FlyLady!

  30. Dear Crew,
In much the same vein as giving ourselves a Christmas stocking, I propose that we ladies can give ourselves a gift. Even if I weren't single, I might not have trained my guy well enough to come through (lol). So, I plan to have my home in order, have a special spa bath, some of my favorite homemade goodies, and in general, treat myself like a queen! Ta Da!

PS...I loved giving myself a stocking this year...I'd never had one before - no reason other than my parents never started that custom. But it was fun fun fun to shop and open!

  31. $2 gift certificate to Baskin Robbins, we rarely go there, special treat, cheap and clutter free!!

  32. Hello FlyCrew,
I would LOVE to receive an African violet that blooms red blossoms! They are more unusual than the traditional purple or pink blossoms and I have only seen pictures of them. But maybe that color will be more plentiful during Valentines. One can always hope!
    Keep up the good work!

  33. He lined up a sitter for this Saturday. I was floored. I've always gotten the sitters. This was very thoughtful and sweet.

  34. Sleep til noon!!!! (mom of four)

  35. Okay, here's a silly one, but it's what my little heart desires! I've lost 10 pounds with all the "moving and blessing" this past month! I am finally ready to give up the "granny panties". I thought I wasn’t good enough to deserve the pretties, but I think I've earned them! Some pretty panties to go with my pretty new waistline would be wonderful!

  36. Coupons for a massage or day at the Spa
Traditional gifts of roses, chocolates, dinner, diamonds, etc...
A piece of pottery decorated with a message of "love"(using pink, red, white paint and decorated with hearts) by that special someone(s) at a pottery store...something that will last "for years to come" and has special meaning
If the budget is tight, simple gifts are nice too examples:
1)A bubble bath alone or with that special someone
    2)Breakfast in bed
    3)Dinner, at home, by candlelight
4)A homemade card with lots of thought and effort put into it
5)Little cards/messages/trinkets tucked where I would find them throughout the day
6)For single Moms...a day of someone taking the kids so that Mom can head for a day of shopping or whatever she wants to do
7)A cd or cassette with songs conveying ones love and admiration for me:)

  37. I would love him to actually get me a gift ... Before Valentines Day. Not wait until the last minute and just pick up something on the way home.

  38. I would love for my husband to plan a date for us on Valentine weekend. Get the sitters, make the plan down to what he would like for me to wear. Besides the romantic date together, I don't have to decide anything-that's a gift in itself!

  39. One year my DH left a single carnation and card attached to my car's steering wheel so it was waiting for me when I left for work that morning and then when I switched on the ignition he had put a CD in that was set to play "How Do I Live Without You" by Leeann Womack - needless to say I sat there and just poured purple puddles while the song played.

  40. Great idea!
    Here are my wishes:
A card, signed & simply personalized (draw a heart, write 3 or 5 words)
Chocolate, quality matters more than quantity! (My favorite is plain dark, or chocolate truffle, or caramel-filled dark)
Any hand-made, consumable or disposable token of affection (get out the markers and make a card or decorate a white paper napkin to use at dinner, etc).
A small splurge item to make me pretty- perhaps with receipt handy if not sure on the color- a lipstick, a fancy handcreme - look in my stash and see what looks “special” and 75% or more gone, replace that!
A new robe (if old one is 5 or more yrs) or even just wash my current one with love (on a weekend during the day perhaps).

    #1:hugs and kisses!!

  41. I SO want any flowers that aren't red roses from the grocery store kiosk - I love tulips!

  42. Jewelry box
    Jo-Ann Gift card
    Family Christian Store gift card

  43. * Gift Certificates for a 90 minute MASSAGE
    * Gift Certificates for a Pedicure
    * Gift Certificates for the Chiropractor and/or Physiotherapy
    * Gift Certificates for time with a Professional Organizer (3 sessions minimum!)
    * Gift Certificates for the Movies (including Popcorn and Pop!)
    * REGULAR Friday or Saturday uninterrupted Date Time with my Sweetie!

  44. For me little things mean alot. Like hubby watching kids while I get a badly needed nap. Or helping around the house. Maybe a coupon book with coupons like..."one hour uninterrupted rest time" or "Good for one night of homemade cooking by your valentine(includes clean up)." And of course chocolates never hurt! LOL!!

  45. i am on a low carb diet, so i would love to have low carb sugar free candy instead of the sugary type. The low carb tastes just as well and I wont be missing out on the traditonal valentines day gift.

  46. Hi Flylady Crew!
The best Valentine's Day present I ever received was two years ago when we didn't have very much money. My son had open heart surgery when he was only three months old, because he was born with a congenital heart defect. The surgery was on January 24 and we spent over a week and a half in the pediatric intensive care unit. To say the least we were stressed! My husband and I had not spent a lot of alone time together since my son was born and I was very concerned about leaving him with anyone. But by the time Valentine's Day came around it felt like the best present was just having my son alive! But my husband had surprised me and taken both of our children to my mom's house. He told me to take a long uninterrupted bath.( which never happens!), then come into the living room when I was done. The bath was heavenly! When I went into the living room I was greeted by a candle lit room and a cozy fire in the fire place! He had laid a soft blanket on the floor and told me to lay down and just relax. I then received an hour long body massage! I am in purple puddles just remembering how wonderful it felt to be pampered and so loved! It is the best gift any women could ever receive!

  47. I would love a massage by my hubby or a real massage therapist, candlelight, my favorite hand lotion.
1 perfect piece of chocolate (I've been losing weight so only 1)
I think the perfect gift would not cost a dime, just a love letter from my hubby of 25 years to me would be terrrific

  48. One day....just one day, that I didn't have to be responsible for every single flipping thing that entered my spouses mouth.

  49. My favorite gift is a Day of Beauty from a local salon including a hair cut and style, manicure, reflexology (mini massage), makeup application, and lunch. Many spas will let you cusomize services, Some even include a dozen roses. In my book, a dozen roses is a MUST for V-Day!

  50. Here is what I would personally like for Valentines Day ...
I actually picked out a necklace that I would like and put the picture in DH's Inn box.
I would also like a Romantic night out with my husband. He's not much of a romantic anymore so this would be an extra special treat! Hmmm, Just got the urge to CC him on this e-mail :-)
