Valentines Gift Ideas for Guys - Page 2

  1. I asked my DH what he wanted for Valentines Day....He said my undivided attention......He said after kids, dinner, house, he feels he has to beg for my attention. He asked me not to be mad. Funny thing, I wasn't. I was touched and hurt for him. I realized that when I thought I was Flying I had forgotten the biggest element and that was taking care of the one I love. I told him last night that if I lost all of the "Things" in my life....what would be left would be what I love the most....Him. And I told him that when I realized that, I realized that my priorities were upside down and I am going to put him first over all the "things" that need to be done. They will still be there. He may not. I can tell he is reserving judgment to see if it is going to stick. It is. It was one of those God Breezes that FLY lady talks about. It touched me to the core.

  2. I will be making his favorite dinner and then we will spend the evening with a nice glass of wine watching his choice of movies. No phone calls just a nice quiet home evening for 2.

  3. My husband wants Rush Limbaugh 24/7 and the Limbaugh letter. This way, he can access Rush any time he wants to.

  4. My boy likes toys - even though he is 28 years old. In order to get him something for his collection that he REALLY WANTS, before Christmas I made him give me a list of the robot toys he was wanting and I have gotten him one for his birthday, for Christmas, and for valentines. It is great for two reasons: I get him something he really wants instead of more clutter, and he doesn't go purchase them on his own so that we are wiser with our money.

  5. My husband has an IPOD and wants the gizmo that lets you plug the IPOD into what used to the cigarette lighter for the car - then he can share his music with all his passengers!!!!
    Since he is man, he just assumes his taste in music will be loved by all!

  7. My husband and I love coupons for the car wash! The kind where they do the entire car inside and out.

    It's AZ flybaby again I asked DH and he wants the silver star screw in conchos for his new leather holsters and belt. :) Thanks I would have never gotten this out of him with out the flylady's crew help. I told him he was keeping the ladies waiting.

  9. My husband LOVES pens with colored ink, especially cool ones, so that's what I'll get him this year.

  10. I am surprising my husband with a BBQ Island for the backyard. He has asked for one of the stainless steel BBQs on numerous occasions, but the timing was just not right and we had no where to install it since we do not have a patio. So, I purchased the island and plan to have it installed after the new concrete patio is poured. Since it may be a month before the patio is actually poured and ready for the BBQ, I will put a picture of the BBQ Island in his Valentine's Day card. This should also push the importance of getting the patio poured so that he can have his BBQ sooner.

  11. I am going to send a contribution to Kids for the Kingdom/India in honor of my guy. He is very impressed with this group and especially with the Christian man from India who is involved with the group there. I know this will please him more than anything else I could do.

  14. I GAVE MY HUSBAND A NEW GUN FOR CHRISTMAS, SO HE WOULD LIKE A GUN CASE FOR IT, HE ALSO SAW AN ALUMINUM FLOOR JACK AT SAM'S CLUB AND A LEVELING TOOL THAT IS ON A TRIPOD SO YOU CAN LEVEL ALL ANGLES WHEN DOING A PROJECT

  15. I'm planning on making up a coupon book with 10 coupons in it that my DH can use anytime after 10PM any day of the week. He can tear out a coupon and redeem it for face value, which may be a 30 Minute Massage, or any number of things he enjoys in the evening! Only 1 coupon per day!

  16. My guy wants a 100-pack of blank CD's for his cataloguing project. He apologizes for his lack of romance.

  19. My husband wants a table saw, and he's particular. It has to accept up to a 13/16 dado (some sort of blade). I'm trying to afford it.

I'm giving DH two things: A surprise car wash (he doesn't think he needs one, but he has a 4-wheel drive and has been insisting I drive it in the snow, and believe me, he needs one, so I'll surprise him around V-day with a clean vehicle)! The second thing is a $15 Itunes gift card. He loves to download music but never does because he'd rather save money. He'll see this as a lovely splurge and be able to download guilt-free.

  27. I got my son, and husband the same thing. I picked up all their favorite "treats" at the grocery store...things that I don't normally buy.

    is he the best or what?? (oh, and i have to add that he is a naturally tidy person so you can guess where the bulk of our fights stemmed from, but not anymore since i've found you!!)

  32. My husband wants a New England Patriots Super Bowl championship hat. He got a Red Sox World Series hat for Christmas...
    It's also a great time of year to start thinking about sports gear or gift certificates for golf, etc....

  33. One year I bought a big pink heart shaped candle and gave it to my husband. I light it when I want some hugs. He lights it when he is feeling 'needy'. This 'signal' to stop and pay attention to each other worked so well for us that I bought another candle the next Valentine's Day. Now it's not Valentine's Day if I don't give him a pretty heart shaped candle to light throughout the following year!

  34. Believe it or not, I want a spa certificate for a massage...about a 1-hour one!

  35. He said 6 months alone with me. His mother lives with us and we keep one sometimes two grandchildren. We have been married 42 years.

  36. Friends just had a fire that destroyed their home. Since my husband works on his cars in our attached garage and kitchen fires can happen easily, this year I am getting us matching Valentine presents - fire extinguishers! Mine is for the kitchen and his will be mounted in the garage.

  37. This year I am writing down things that make my husband sexy and sexy things he does and putting them in a box...for example when he plays with the kids...and others that I would rather keep to myself!

  40. My husband wants a subscription to SCI FI Magazine. This may not seem romantic to anyone else, but it is something he enjoys and will continue to enjoy all year round. (Plus, this is a non-brainer gift for next year!) This is perfect because it is a non-clutter type gift (we recycle used magazines to friends or a recycling center, as appropriate).

  42. My guy wants a massage....but he lives 5hrs from me.....i told him for everyday I don't see him after V-day he will get an extra 5 minutes...
    And BTW he noticed a HUGE difference in my house the last time he was down (2weeks ago) I've been a flybaby for 4 weeks now....

    What a great idea! I loved the lists you put up for the Christmas/holiday season.
    I'm getting my fiance new windshield wipers. He needs them desperately and and is sad that his wipers are no longer bright SHINY blue. Now I just have to figure out how to get one off without him noticing so I get the right size when I go in to the auto shop! :)
    Also, he won't admit it, but he likes chocolate almost as much as I do! So Cupid is probably going to leave a nice box for him. :)

    ps - I always get my parents each something as well, but I leave it anonymous so they think it was the other one who gave it. Unfortunately, I think they've figured me out by now! :)

  44. My husband is getting clothes, he lost a lot of weight in basic training and he deserves the beginning of a new wardrobe so that he will know how much I want him to keep his great new physique. (also he'll have enough clothes to not be freaked out every morning about what to wear and where it is)
    My best friend spends a lot of time working on projects in his garage that gets really really cold (and we're in Sothern California even!!). It's not for Valentine's but his birthday is around the corner, I'm going to get him a heater to he can be more comfortable when he works in there.

  45. a little on the spendy remodeling side but this is what he wants......two 2 drawer file cabinets with a top over them and then he is going to build an organizer hutch to go on top. The 2 desk we have in our "office" just aren't working the way we would like them to be for us. Efficiency wise.....they suck. We may not have this done in time for Valentine's Day but it will be soon.

  46. My guy just loves Starbucks, so he is getting a starbuck's gift card (the romantic one with the couple dancing on the front) tucked into his romantic "my valentine" card. You can get these in whatever amount is affordable to you and have a little "I love you" message on the insert if you order on line. Now he can stop whenever, no cash needed, and every time he takes a sip he will think of his honey.

  47. My DH loves to dream.... a new HDTV plasma TV.

  48. I asked my husband what he wanted, and the first thing he said was time with me. :) Sweet. But, when I pressed him a little bit, he said what he really wanted was to go to the mountains together. He loves the mountains, and his job keeps him so busy that he wants to go enjoy time together in some beautiful nature. I think I'll pack some of his favorite drink (right now Chai Tea, he loves the cream in it), and some sandwiches and then off we'll go. He's planning to get off of work at 12:30 so we can do this.

  49. I bought my husband a relaxing massage for Valentine's Day. We are giving each other a trip to another town for the weekend this weekend so we can have a couple of days to ourselves.
