Valentines Gift Ideas for Guys - Page 3

  1. anything electronic
    night at a casino

  2. I would want more duck decoys.

  3. He wants a big hunk of real white chocolate (not almond bark)

  4. Dear FlyCrew,
My DH had a really rough childhood and never had all the necessities let alone some fun stuff. He has always wanted a good stereo system for his truck. I have always resented him for the money it would cost, he is old enough he dosn't need a bombing system(stinkin' thinkin'). I have told him to go and get the one he has always wanted as a gift from me for Valentines Day. He dose so much for me and DD 5, DS 4 & DS 11mth. This way I can hear him comming home.

Thanks for all your help getting our lives in order.

  5. Weekend in Las Vegas Weekend in Carribean
    Massage
Tickets to a concert or basketball game

  6. The best gift I ever got my hubby was a camping knife. It was a expensive ($40) pocket knife. He had been longing for it and we went together to pick it out. He was so excited to show the guys at scouts and they were jealous, he was pleased. They other guys wanted to know how to get their wifes to buy them good anniversary gifts. The next year I got him a Leatherman Wave, pocket tool.

  7. A watch case. It's the only "jewelry" he owns.

  8. Getting him a step counter.

  9. My husband used to get a weekly massage until we moved out of the area where his masseuse worked, so he's been without a massage for about 4 months now.
I found a local spa that has a Valentine's Special for couples. Complete with champagne, skin care, and a one-hour side-by-side massage.
So this is a gift that doesn't clutter the house, solves the what-to-get-him question, gets him relaxed and warmed up for later, and is sweet on yourself as well!

  10. gift card to any one of the following:
    Lowe's
    Sears
    Harbor Freight
a box of nitrile work gloves
    a homemade pin-up calendar

  11. I will be getting my guy a turkey vest for valentines day. Actually he kept suggesting he should get ME one for my birthday two days ago, (I dont hunt a bit) and he would "borrow it" !

  12. Both of the men at work (husband and employee) said "chocolate" and "candy"

  13. My guy said he'd like a flash memory stick. He said any techie guy would like one of those :-)

  14. Dear Flylady and Crew,
Since my DBF and I live in different towns I'm doing these things for his Valentine's. This Valentine's Day I'm getting a subscription to a golf magaine. He's determined to make time for his favorite sport and I know he'll love the magazine. I'm also baking his favorite cookies and sending them to his work place so he'll know he's loved and the cookies are made with love. He'll also get a card everyday up to Valentine's Day. I may even send him a rose. *S*

  15. I give my DH a SMALL box of Godiva white chocolates which are his favorite and what he flat out tells me is what he wants. As if I didn't already know after years of this. Many Men DO like chocolates too, and if you ask, they'll tell you their favorite kind.

  16. Paint Your Wagon VHS or DVD

  17. Dear Flycrew,
I had already asked my DH what he wanted (because it's so much easier to give him something he wants than to suprise him with something he doesn't LOL). He asked for an assortment of flavored decafinated teas that he can enjoy in the evenings after dinner. I am going to match that with some turbinado sugar and put it all in a nice basket he can keep his tea in after unwrapping it.

  18. Make your own coupons--
    this can be anything,
even a household chore your willing to do when your wife/husband needs it
    sat morning sleep in
    breakfast in bed
    candlelight bubble bath
    Night off from cooking dinner
    candle light dinner
    husband wife card games night
    BE CREATIVE!
your turn to pick the movie from the movie store

Card games, dominoes, etc with a note to say to spend more time together
Games inspire conversation. Its time without tv. Your sitting down...Plenty of time to talk.
This year we are trying not to buy each other candy. We have 4 Children and money is tight. What we seem to need most is more conversation! It may not be the most romantic gift for some, but couples who get time to talk...are often inspired!

  19. My DH wants a new monitor. :)

  20. a long back/neck/shoulder massage... no more cologne please!

  21. candlelight dinner at a nice restaurant {I suggested at home} a trip (like a cruise)

  22. Dear Husband and I giving each other massages for Valentine's. Relaxing, enjoyable, calorie- and clutter-free!

  23. Car cleaned inside and out!

  24. I don't have a sweetheart right now, but I asked my DS (age 16) and after some thought he said everyone likes chocolate!

  25. I already got DH a tie chain. It's a little bar which hooks onto the button on his dress shirt with a small chain hanging from each end to hold his tie in place. It doesn't put a hole in his ties the way a tie tack does.

  26. My husband only wants of these things: an Apple iPod 20G or a new desktop computer. He unfortunately won't get either since we don't have enough money. (We're saving up for the computer, though).

  27. I'm planning a romantic evening for next Friday (a few days late I know but weeknights are hard). I've lined up the baby-sitter, have made reservations at a very romantic restaurant, have been diligent on a diet for 2 weeks (next week makes 3) so that the dress he really likes won't be tight and make me self-conscious all night and I have a hair appt Friday afternoon so I'll look my best. I'm not waiting for him to set up a romantic evening, I'm not putting expectations on him of something I want but haven't said anything about and then getting frustrated because he didn't read my mind and do it. Oh and by the way, we got engaged on March 14th and I'm setting the dinner (different restaurant) and baby-sitter up for the next month too. What makes this the most difficult is that we only moved here 3 mths ago and so baby-sitter and restaurant info takes real research. It's not as simple as it was before. I'm also working on flying so the house will be more tranquil when we come home. I know this week's zone is the kitchen but in this house for the next two weeks, it's the master bedroom.

  28. I'm going to hang some watercolors in the bedroom. We bought them years ago and never decided where they should go or who should do the work of hanging them up!

  29. Dear Fly Crew,
I am having my son load a cd with lovesongs/slowsongs to give to my dh for valentines. He can take it with him when he travels or we can use it for 'mood' music on date night! All our favorites all together!

    Thanks! Flybaby in oz

  30. My husband would choose a computer game for his Valentine's Day gift. Preferrably "Call of Duty".

  31. DH wants a chocolate milkshake from a local restaurant. We ate there recently and he kept raving that it was the best milkshake he's ever had so he wants another one :)

  32. 1 - Time Alone with DW.
    2 - DW undivided attention.
    3 - Well behaved children!!

  33. He says he'd just like time with me. WARM FUZZIES!!! :)

  34. My husband (wanted for Xmas, but I didn't get it then, I remembered [because I wrote it in my control journal] and am getting it for Valentine's) a new razor. He's always wanted a nice double edged safety razor. He loves the smells of the nice shaving creams, but would never indulge himself to spend $30 on good smelling shaving cream. So I bought him a nice razor and some fabulous lavender shaving cream. It is going to be a big surprise because we don't buy each other gifts normally, we just do something together. But I figured I'll have him take a hot shower and then I can help him shave afterwards with the gifts. This way it will just be something special we do together.

  35. - Breakfast out
    - Dinner out
    - Gift certificate at Home Depot

  36. For my hubby I like to do a musical gift, a new CD or tickets to a concert.
    DVD
    Accessory for his sports car
    Candy
    Favorite dinner for two

  37. - A table-top set of electric drums (to play along with his favorite songs).
    - Take him to a used CD store and let him pick out some oldies but goodies to play along with.

  38. Either a full body massage with hot oil or a Lowe's gift card.
That was an exact quote, I kid you not!

  39. MY DH likes to have his car (a convertible!) detailed by a pro.

    Flappin' away in north Idaho

  40. This may be kind of silly, but my dh always wants guitar strings or gift certs for guitar maintenance. This year, he asked me to get him some music that I want to hear our Praise Team play at church on Sunday mornings so he can donate it.

  41. A Professional Massage session.
Gift certificate for her or for him or for the two of you to get one at the same time. Usually the salons that offer massages have a Valentine's Day Special with massages for two, champagne, etc. Romantic, pampering and clutter-free too
Of course, Jewelry is NEVER clutter, in my humble opinion.

  42. Dear FlyLady:
I already gave my "guy" his Valentine's Day Gift.....I repainted his office in our home. This is nothing he asked me to do, but I *knew* he would like it. Now, before I could paint it, I had to *declutter* it first! (That would have been a much-appreciated gift in itself). I also brought in a sofa and chair I had picked up at a yard sale and matched the paint job to this *new* furniture. Best of all, the entire project took only 2 days with me working by myself (I have four children under 9 at home, and projects of this nature I usually drag out for MONTHS). Dear Hubby was skeptical at first, but has actually said to me how much he **LOVES** his "new" office....how much work he can do in there and that it is so peaceful and clutter-free....and he is a "white walls" sort of guy!
    Anyway, just my two cents.

  43. For Valentines I am getting my sweety a new(or slightly used) computer chair. Then I will lovingly discard the broken one.

  44. My sweetheart and I have come up with a great solution.
We both love going out to eat; we both love cooking; and we're trying not to hurt our waistlines or our budgets. Several local restaurants were advertising gourmet Valentine's dinners for take-out. So we decided to go them one better.
We're daydreaming about the perfect home-cooked meal. By the weekend we'll have created a delicious menu in our minds. We'll go out together on a leisurely trip to the grocery store, make a few things ahead Sunday afternoon, them come home from work on Monday ready to cook. The house will be clean, the table set for a romantic dinner for two. We'll pour two glasses of wine and enjoy the cooking then the serving and eating. Relaxed, relaxing, private, and pretty. We might get really crazy and have a candlelight bubble bath afterward!

    Ah, love.

  45. My guy asked for the new ipod shuffle. It's a bit pricey ($100 for the smaller memory), but for the guy who likes music, can't listen to the radio at work or wants his own music for the gym, this is a great gift. It's pretty tiny too! Not too much clutter in the briefcase.

  46. for a year when he gets in his car it will be at least 1/2 full of gas

  47. When I asked my dear boyfriend what he would like, he said "just to spend some time with you"....and that is why I love him...sniff.

  48. Hi Guys,
All that my man wants for Valentine's Day is me and him play video games all night.

  49. My husband said that if he'd spell out exactly what he wants, it wouldn't get printed... In other words, bedroom time.

  50. I have bought my honey some black silk boxers with red hearts, ok that is more for me than him :). I have bought him some DVD's of games from his college football team. This is something that he loves and will be romantic for that reason -- even more so because I hate football. He misses it during the off season and I order a few for every gift giving occasion so that he can enjoy his favorite pasttime year round.

    Thanks, flycrew.
