Dear FlyLady,
I would like to tell you how much menu planning has changed our lives and saved us money! Each week I go through the sales flyers for our nearby stores and make my grocery list based mostly on what is on sale. Then I plan my menus and add the extra things that I might not have in the house for certain recipes. I make sure to use everything up and have delicious, varied menus that my family loves, and I love cooking them!
I have a recipe that I would like to share. Crockpot Pork Roast. You will need your crockpot, a 3-5 pound pork roast, a can of whole berry cranberry sauce, one sliced onion, and 1/3 cup of French dressing. Place the roast into the crockpot. Then mix the can of cranberry sauce, sliced onion, and French dressing together. Pour the mixture over the roast and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours. When you come home from a day out at work, or whatever, and you walk into the house smelling this dish, it is wonderful! The meat is very flavorful and it practically cuts itself. And there’s some sauce left over to pour over your slices if you want. I usually serve this with rice mixed with butter and peas, and a salad and some bread. Yum!
Thank-you for all you do!
Much Love,
Mary H.
