Dear FlyLady,
Keeping my sink shiny is easier for me now that I empty the dw as part of my a.m. routine. I pop dirty dishes in it throughout the day. It’s encouraging to see the sink ready for action when I enter the kitchen. Also, the dinner dish pileup is much easier to handle when I start cooking with an empty sink.
In the evening, just before bed, I take my little spray bottle (filled with 1/4 white vinegar, 3/4 water & 12 drops peppermint essential oil) and spritz stove top, counters and sink, then give everybody a quick wipe. It smells so fresh and clean! My purple rag makes the faucet shine. That part always makes me feel like an expert.
The kitchen feels peacefully hushed and quiet when I go to bed.
