Dear FlyLady,

I’m the grandma in a multi-generational household…all the ‘ kids’ are early 20’s except the youngest who is 16. All are male except our dd (their mom). All of us work, along with my dear husband, even the 16 yr old and school. It’s a busy place. We are living in chaos, so many people, so many schedules. Males, who will help out, if you can catch them long enough! I come home so tired. Most of the time I get up to a sink of dirty dishes, even IF I did the dishes the night before. Well I decided to try FlyLady routines anyway.  I cleaned the sink, dried it and put a big metal pan by it and any leftover dishes in the pan.

Wonder of all, I started finding the midnight snack dishes in the pan, with the sink still clean!  AMAZING!

It seemed to be easier to keep it done, 1 week still counting. I LOVE the Rubba Scrubba, just finished using it on the stairs for the dog hair.  It did a great job.

I also love the Carpet Sweepa, it’s easy to use and does such a good job. Bit by bit my home is shaping up. I came home from work today to find 2 of the kids cleaning upstairs, filling trash bags etc, so my effort IS getting noticed. The 16 yr old even brought down his multitude of glasses AND washed them….WOW unheard of!
