Silking Corn was a Breeze

Dear FlyLady,

Being from the south we love our fresh fried corn.  Shucking and silking the corn is a major job.  I usually put my DH on this duty.  He was not available one afternoon so I tackled the job.  Was impatient with getting all the silk off the corn when I had an ah ha moment.

Purple Rags – Micro fiber – I got out a clean rag, grasped the corn firmly in one hand and started rubbing the corn.  Well guess what – silks came right off!  They are wonderful!  We enjoyed our home cooked meal of fresh vegetables, corn, butter beans, fried green tomatoes, corn bread and peach cobbler all from our local market for dinner and no silks in my corn ya!
