Dear FlyLady,

I have been a FlyBaby for like 2 weeks. I am making progress on my babysteps. I shine my sink every night!!! I get dressed to shoes every day. I am swishing and swiping!!

Most productively, I have finally found the end of my laundry pile that used to fill the laundry room floor!!! I took it a load at a time. Completed each load to the end ( Washing, drying, folding and putting away). I also mated all socks with each load so there is no longer a basket full of unmated socks!!!

My Husband and I both work a lot, and do not get much time together so when we are together we like to play cards. Well we used to play cards for hours and then feel like we never got much else done. I took FlyLady’s saying of “You can do anything for 15 minutes” and decided that we would play a game or two of cards and then set the timer and hit the current zone or hot spots for 15 minutes in between games. It is amazing how much you can really get done in 15 minutes!!!! We had company over for dinner the other night and I was not totally embarrassed over the condition of my home!!! I still have a long way to go but it didn’t become this way overnight and it won’t go away over night either!!

Finally, I have a 4 year old daughter!! She is learning to FLY too!!! She loves setting the timer and picking up her room for 15 minutes at a time. She also enjoys the FlyKids challenges in mommy’s emails. We also made her a calendar!!

FlyLady here: I love how you have adapted spending time with your husband and still get things done. Sometimes we watch movies and during the six minute commercials I can get things done!

Children love our calendar and stickers. They learn by watching you use a calendar.
