Dear FlyLady,
Thank you! I have been fluttering off and on for some time now, but I have struggled with the part where you tell us to dress to lace up shoes. I have always loved going barefoot. I decided about 6 weeks ago it was time to take this seriously and started getting dressed AND putting my shoes on first thing. Last week, my next door neighbor (a young mom of a 3 month old little girl, who looks to me as a mother-figure) was on her way to work and was in an automobile accident. Because I was dressed to my shoes and my routine was done when I got the call at 7:45am, I was able to get the baby (I was babysitting) in her carseat, grab her diaper bag and head out the door. I was at the hospital all day (She’s ok, thank God!). But I didn’t stress over a messy house or undone housework due to being gone all day because my routines were in place. Thanks to you I was ready to go when I was needed for an emergency and I was able to focus on what was important! FlyBaby in VA |
