Shoes Make the Difference

Dear FlyLady,

I have been fluttering around for almost two and half years.

After I had my second child in August of 2011, I realized that I had to fly or CHAOS would take over.

So I have started taking my routines and all the wonderful things you tell us to do much more seriously. Back in December I started to really make myself dress to the shoes everyday, but I did NOT love my shoes. I never spent much money on my lace up shoes and my feet could tell.

Well, when Christmas came around I took my Christmas money and bought some shape up shoes. They are so comfortable, they help my posture (which my doctor had told me was horrible and was part of the reason I had a pinched nerve), and help tone my body just by wearing my shoes. It was hard to buy them and spend the money on me, but I did it.

Boy am I glad I did, shoes do make all the difference in the world – my feet tell my body that she is serious we are going to get up and do something. You posted something on facebook this year that has made all the difference to me in embracing flying, which was if we take a break from our routines its the same as shooting ourselves in the foot. I tell it to myself everyday.

I am still just making babysteps, and with a 6 month old baby and a almost three year old little girl some days I do not get to all of my routines. But I am getting there one babystep at a time.

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You for not giving up on us and continually and lovingly remind us to do these things because sometimes it takes awhile for it to sink in that YES we need to do this and when we do start to be flywashed it makes a huge difference in our lives.
