Dear FlyLady,
They just keep going and going……
I had been reading for so long about these Purple Rags in a Bag, and I just had to try them. I am a somewhat skeptical person in general, so I thought, “Come on, how can they do all these things?” So when our tax return arrived, I sent off my order (which arrived in 3 days, thank you!). I took out the rags, looked them over, logged on to see how to use them, then put them in the washer.
When they were done washing, I laid them out to dry as instructed, but kept going back to feel them to see if they were dry. I re-read the instructions on your site and saw where it said “use them wet or dry,” so i picked up one of the damp cloths and rubbed a corner of it one of my 9 small door windows (which were covered with fingerprints from my 6 lovely blessings!!).
Lo and behold!! It cleaned that spot and left no streaks! No way! I rubbed a little more and finished the entire pane. ALL the fingerprints were gone, and no streaks, and not much effort on my part. I turned the rag a little and went to work on the rest of the panes–all 9 windows clean, and no streaks!! Even with Windex, I never get results that good. Well, now I had to go to the outside and clean the other side of the windows since they were filthy. We’re talking dirt-driveway-with-Georgia-red-clay-dust caked on the panes, dead insects, more fingerprints, you get the picture. I just kept rubbing and turning the rag–THE SAME RAG!–and the windows were sparkling and streak-free in just 10 minutes. I stood there just looking at that rag and scratching my head. How can this be?
So now the door looked awful since the windows were so clean, so I just started rubbing out the footprints, dog prints, bug guts, Georgia-red-clay-dust, and it all came off. The doorknob never looked so good! I was dumbfounded. I was still using the same slightly damp rag, and there were still clean spots on it to continue my cleaning on the inside of the door. And the best part???? My had stayed under the rag, protected from the dirt that usually gets all over my hands when cleaning with paper towels and cleaner.
I took another damp rag and went into my bathroom to tackle another major project. (I just HAD to see if it would work). Our bathroom has a terrible mold and mildew problem. The walls and ceiling are covered, and I have not been able to deal with it because of the harsh chemicals needed and the reaching up and over my head (impossible for me to do for more then a few seconds due to serious back and neck problems). I took that rag and started rubbing (with my hand protected from contacting the mold because the rag is SO big). My walls got cleaner and clearer, with such little effort that I laughed. Still asking myself, “How can this be?” I did a whole wall.
All I could think as I turned the rag and rubbed some more was, “These rags just keep going and going!! Like the Bunny!!” Thank you for such an awesome product. Where do you find these things?? You’re amazing!
