I’ve been a FlyBaby for more years than I care to count, with all the floundering that I do, but I always keep coming back!  And I recently had the chance to buy everything that my heart desired from the FlyShop, including your 2015 Calendar without having to wait until December to try to come up with the money.  And believe me, I’m counting my blessing!!

I already owned most of your tools, but my Purple Rags were so old & faded that I just HAD to buy some new ones & I just got carried away!  I now have 5 new sets of Purple Rags!  I did bless an old friend with some of my old ones as she drives a cab service and was having a terrible time with the Florida Love Bugs.  She marveled at their ability to clean them away with just water and a little elbow grease!  The other old Purple Rags I cut into quarters to use for little jobs such as cleaning our phones, cleaning my new Kindle, and wiping the dry erase marks from my Control Journal!  So they haven’t been “put out to pasture”, just moved on to smaller jobs!!!

At first both my husband and I THOUGHT that I got carried away with the number of Purple Rags I purchased, but then the new furniture arrived.  Glass dining room table-top and glass coffee table and end tables!  Now, my Purple Rags are a downright NECESSITY!!!  Fingerprints and smudges are always appearing on all of the tables, but I still marvel at how easy it is to take care of them!  All it takes is a wet Purple Rag to the rescue plus a dry one to follow it up with & everything is shiny and beautiful again!

Thank you so much FlyLady, for your great tools, for your kind and gentle words of wisdom, your uplifting spirit, and your belief in me even when I don’t believe in myself.  I have many health issues and a hip which may need some surgery soon, and that prevents me from doing ALL of the house blessing chores by myself.  But thanks to my DDH (Dear Darling Husband), we work as a team!  I do what I can (dusting, laundry, dishes, etc) & he does the rest (runs the vacuum, etc).  We’re FLYing together!!  I put heart shaped post-it’s on my bathroom mirror, one for each of the house blessing chores.  When we complete one, it gets moved to the other side of the mirror.  On an extremely busy week with doctor’s appointments, we don’t always get everything done, but we’re still FLYing, baby step by baby step!  All thanks to your loving reminders!

Keep doing what you’re doing, FlyLady!  I can’t begin to tell you how much you’ve changed my life since I first discovered you.  Just by going to Amazon.com and typing into the search bar “I hate my kitchen sink!”  Your book “Sink Reflections” was the first book to pop up and that’s the story of how I discovered the FlyLady system clear back in 2004.  Been fluttering ever since.  Through 3 moves & getting possessions from a storage container, there has been quite a bit of decluttering!  My perfectionism still needs some work, but, as you say…BABY STEPS!!!

You have brought me from a total SLOB to a woman who (granted, doesn’t ALWAYS wear her lace-up shoes due to swollen feet :-/ ),but I have a lot more pride in both my appearance and my home!  Your calling is a gift from God and you are a blessing to so many women out there.  Never stop doing what you love!
