Dear FlyLady,
We have two small children and spend a lot of time at the beach and on a boat, so we are very sun-conscious and we use a low-toxic, zinc-oxide based sunscreen that doesn’t have other chemical sunscreens in it.
It works really well, but it is very hard to get off – with soap and a washcloth you have to scrub three times and even then you notice white patches in the creases of your skin for the next day.
I have a Purple Rag in my shower to swish and swipe the bathroom and clean the shower floor. I had just hung up a freshly washed one and when I got in the shower covered in sunscreen I thought… why not try?
I rubbed my skin gently with the velvety side and I could see great white patches of sunscreen coming right off on the rag. I used it all over, crossing my fingers that it would not hurt my skin.
Not only was my skin fine, but I actually looked like I’d had an exfoliation treatment – a nice glow and all the dry skin gone too!
Now I have to keep one clean to use as a special washcloth! What can’t you do with a Purple Rag!
Thanks,
FlyBaby in Western Australia

I keep a purple rag in my tub too. It works great on dry skin. We have Purple Rags that are on a BOGO. This sale ends Labor Day!
