Dear Friends,

Today I want you to sit down and spend a few minutes counting your blessings. The testimonial from earlier today got me to thinking about our blessings and what we take for granted.

If you have not been exercising then what is stopping you! You are healthy and can move yet you don’t! Count your blessings.

You have food in the pantry yet you don’t fix good things for your body! What is stopping you! You can eat well because you have food! Count your Blessings.

You don’t spend time with your family because you are too busy. Don’t waste another minute on things that are not important! They won’t be here or be little forever! Count your blessings.

I know you can think of other things to be thankful for. Just this morning as I was starting to write this I remembered a story from CBS Sunday Morning about a man who was thankful for breast cancer. He told us that it gave he and his wife their lives back.

There are blessings in everything if we will look for them instead of feeling sorry for ourselves. Check out his website too. Maybe I can find a link to his video essay in pictures of his blessings. I just got a phone call from my niece Courtney. She was born on my
birthday. She is such a SHE and won’t slow down and listen but today
she did. She got up out of bed and went church this morning for the
first time as an adult; all by herself. As she sat and LISTENED to the sermon she got the message loud and clear. If you don’t stop and live today and quit worrying about tomorrow you are never going to find peace and happiness. Then I read to her this message I have been writing and the words to Why Not Today! We both cried.
