Dear FlyLady,

Just wanted to drop you a note to say thank you. I’ve been getting your emails for the past 18 months or so. Only in the past 6 months have I even started my routines. But something about reading your emails all of that time helped me to let go of my perfectionism and fear of failure (thus it took my more than a year to actually start!!). I hope that alone will help the other flybabies who are just at the email-reading stage. It’s okay. Keep reading.

Your kind voice is in my head, and more importantly, in my heart as I look at my perfectionistic ways and my tendency to be a martyr, especially with my husband.

I’m finally fluttering with my routines (perfection NOT required to keep going :)), and I am healing from the inside out, blessing my home, husband, and kids all out of love. Love for them, but even more so, love for ME.

I’ve also started a whole-foods diet, focusing on lean meats, vegetables, and fruits. I’ve lost stubborn pregnancy weight (my youngest is 1). I know this doesn’t seem related, but it is! It’s all part of taking care of me. And caring about my body, my home, and pampering myself.

So thank you so much for the constant reminders and lessons. I’m taking them to heart.
