When I come in the door, I have a routine of putting things in their place. One evening, nature was causing an emergency and I entered the door flinging things as I went. Shoes by the door, kicked there on the way. Cane dropped on the table. Purse stashed on the top of the desk, and hearing aids ended up in the vanity drawer. So, next day, I was so frustrated with myself because I had to scurry around and find the things I had scattered.

Usually, purse and cane are hung in closet, shoes in their place, and hearing aids on their charger. If I have to hurry again, I will drop everything in one place and immediately retrace my steps and put them away. Thank you for teaching us routines.
