Thanks so much for helping me keep my housework under control! I do have a question or two: When you refer to the zones, are we to do work from the detailed cleaning lists and the missions we get?

And I seem to be doing something wrong. I feel like I am cleaning lots and lots! I NEVER get my Home blessing done in an hour, always takes me longer. I have a small house and it is just my husband and I. Am I just slow or am I overdoing it?

You are not slow! You are a perfectionist! It is your perfectionism that makes you obsess about something that is quite simple. Doing the 5 minute missions will eventually check everything off of that detailed cleaning list! You are over thinking this. You don’t have to see the top of the staircase to take the first step!

The secret to Weekly Home Blessing Hour is to set your timer and JUST do 10 minutes or even 2 minutes! That is it! Then go onto the next thing on the list.

There are only 7 things to do in Weekly Home Blessing Hour. Make a separate Post-It note for each one and put them on your bathroom mirror on Sunday Night:

Vacuum
Dust
Mop
Polish Mirrors and Doors
Purge magazines
Change Sheets
Empty all trash

On Monday set your timer for only 10 minutes per Post-It Note! You will find that it will not take all 10 minutes – that is why we have 7 things but call it an hour. Some things will take three minutes others will take 10. Put on some fun peppy music. You are working as fast as you can. You can spread them out over a day or even over 3 days. As you do them move the Post-It note to the inside of the medicine cabinet door.
