Dear Flylady,

I’m not really a FlyBaby anymore.  I’ve been doing the Daily and Weekly ‘chores’ since we put our house on the market in 2003.  We followed the realtor’s advice and rented a storage facility and put everything in there that we didn’t need every single day—all the books, artwork, extra furniture, etc.  Then I printed out and posted your list of daily cleaning and followed it.  It made showing the house a cinch: grab my bag and go to let the realtor show the house.  Every single comment coming back was that our house looked immaculate, even though I knew it wasn’t, really, but the floors were mopped, the bathrooms shined and my kitchen sink dazzled!  We sold it in record time and at the price we’d asked.

I continue to use the list in our forever home, and even with two big Golden Retrievers, whose hobby is shedding and tracking in as much as possible, our house is clean and livable and I don’t feel as if I’m forever chained to cleaning.  I get tons of other things done and enjoy my home blessings..
