Hi FlyLady and crew!

Last week you talked about silver linings on your show and I have one for you.

I have been flying since 2016. My favorite thing to see at some point during the day is a shiny sink – especially since we don’t have a dishwasher!

Quite a few years ago, we were given a new-to-us stainless steel sink to replace our very weathered porcelain sink. But things kept going at warp speed for us and we were never able to get the newer sink put in.

Last week, we had issues with our laundry pipe and our basement was partially flooded as a result. We called our plumber friend to see if he had time to snake the pipes and get this issue resolved once and for all. Not only did he have time to fix the pipe that afternoon, but my husband made a next-day appointment with him to have our new sink and faucet replaced! Our friend was even 15 minutes early and about an hour later, my new shiny sink and faucet were all ready to go!

As stressful as the washing machine issue was, had that not happened when it did, I wouldn’t have my new sink! It would have stayed on the “when things slow down” list for who knows how much longer!

I am even more encouraged to keep my kitchen clean. I put my phone in my window sill above my sink and watch your Facebook Lives while I wash dishes.
