Dear FlyLady,
If there is one thing I’m good at it’s planning LOL. Last year I started really focusing on Menu Planning. I read an email that someone suggested a daily theme so you only had to really plan 4 meals in each category for the month. What a difference that made! Here is the menu themes we use in our house:
Made in Mexico Monday (Mexican): tacos, enchiladas, fajitas, etc.
Taste of Italy Tuesday (Italian): spaghetti, lasagna, cheesy stuffed shells, etc.
When Kids Cook Wednesday (Kid Friendly Foods): chicken nuggets, sloppy joes, hot dogs, etc.
Throw It Together Thursday (Casserole): shepherds pie, chicken and rice, dumpling casserole, etc.
Fend for Yourself Friday (Clean out the fridge): heat and eat, leftovers, whatever Mom doesn’t have to cook LOL
Something New Saturday (New recipes we want to try): This gives me a chance to declutter cookbooks, Pinterest ideas, etc.
Slow Cooker Sunday (any recipe that I can use my crockpot): chicken and noodles, short ribs, roast, etc.
I really hope this helps somebody else like it helped me!
Sincerely,
Fluttering in Utah
