Dear FlyLady,
I sent you a message a few weeks ago about the Purple Rags and how they made cleaning my kitchen garbage pail easier. Well, after today I am going to call them Super Rags instead.
I have a shelf under the skylight in my living room. It is the kind of shelf that is used for closet organizing so it is metal with plastic coating, open rather than solid, with white grid design, so each wire has to be washed separately. Our wood stove is right around the corner in the next room, and our kitchen just beyond that so dust had accumulated in layers, stuck to each plastic coated wire. I knew that shelf should be cleaned so I climbed the step ladder armed with an old towel (big) and an orange based cleaner to cut Grease. I tried to spray a section, holding the rag underneath so spray would not get on what was below. It seemed undoable :the dirt was glued to the surface.
I sighed, wet a purple rag and squeezed some dish detergent on it, mounted the ladder again and, with raised eyebrows, went all across the shelf, cleaning most of it off. Why was I surprised? The undoable had become doable. All those bags of rags are getting thrown out. All I need are the Purple Super Rags!
