Hi FlyLady!
I just wanted to drop you a line about something that struck me the other day: I have SO much going on right now but I have a handle on everything! I am not crabby at my family, there are no scrambling emergencies it is all MANAGED! Birthday party, Thanksgiving and a wedding I helped plan two weeks after Thanksgiving. Managed. I have lists in my Holiday Control Journal, I have my calendar, my laundry isn’t piling up, my sink is shiny, my car and purse are cleaned, menus planned and for the first time since I started doing this I am actually flying! THIS IS WHAT IT FEELS LIKE!! I am also decluttering my house bit by bit. I have 7 rooms down and have donated about 10-15 contractor garbage bags to Goodwill. I have 7 rooms to go. I have the Goodwill drop off worked into my routine. My family helps me pick up after dinner and we sing together to make the work go faster! It is has become my favorite part of the day!
It definitely isn’t perfect because I am not perfect and my family is not either but those things can be easily managed because I am not so stressed about other things. Today my mother in law came over and I wasn’t nervous for her to see my house. It was not perfect but not embarrassing.
