Dear FlyLady,
My shiny sink story goes back to when I was 6. We had just moved and my Grandmother ( Nannie) had come over for a visit.
I was learning to do dishes in our new kitchen. After I washed some dishes my Nannie said , “ Arn’t you going to dry the faucet and sink, doesn’t your Mother dry the sink?” I told her, “ No, we don’t do that”.
I was young ,and I guess I never paid attention to doing dishes? Anyway, my Mother was horrified and my Nannie was in shock ! I remember my Mother professing to us all that she dries and shines the sink, that I just wasn’t there watching when she did it. Now that I am all grown, mom to 6 kids and a FlyBaby , I teach my kiddos to dry off the faucet and sink so it shines. We never know when Nannie is coming over, until she calls and says she will be right over. We are so blessed to have our Nannie, and I do not want CHAOS or a wet dirty sink . We want to enjoy our time with her, eat her yummy cookies together and laugh in the kitchen.
Thank you for reminding me to shine my sink and letting me share my story with you.
