A few times now I have landed upon the Scripture about not hiding your lamp under a bushel. But instead to place it somewhere where it will provide light to others. I somehow shrink back into myself sometimes, not wanting to appear proud. But after this Scripture, I saw that by not letting my light truly shine, I was hiding that something special that God has given to me. So recently at a birthday party, I let my light shine. I walked confidently, and I hope that I was an inspiration to others. Sometimes people don’t realize they are in the dark until they see the light. Sometimes people don’t know the concept of peace until they see it played out before them. I grew up in CHAOS. When guests came around and would be doing a frantic stash and dash all over my parents house… eventually, covering the clutter with big towels or sheets to hide them when it was too much to move. My everyday world was filled with discord and arguments, tension and stress. I have had to renew my mind quite a lot to get out of that childhood upbringing way of thinking. Thank You Flylady for your emails and words that are reprogramming me and helping me. May God use my light for the nations.
