I’m excited that we are focusing on paper clutter!  Reading your list made me realize how many different types of paper clutter there are.

When I started Flying, bills-papers-photos were scattered throughout the house. They were gathered up, important stuff (there was a lot, we’re self-employed) went to our home office; and the non-essentials got dumped in a big  dresser drawer to deal with later.

Paper clutter month came around again and the dresser drawer ‘file’ was drastically reduced and broken down into manageable sub categories.  Now here we are again and those sub categories are getting attention, 15 minutes whenever I can.  It’s amazing how many papers I’m now happy to release.  I guess we grow and change and our emotional/physical needs do too!

Flybabies may like this idea concerning photo clutter…  Take ‘like’ photos (that we’ve already printed, no fair making more clutter!) and set them aside for an album for a dear loved one.  The trick is to not pass on a weight of clutter, but truly make it a pleasant gift.  I am slowly decluttering our photo albums, especially those that are falling apart, and plan to eventually make *one* treasure album each for our daughter and my Mom.  I like the idea of tucking in bits of paper memorabilia, too.  Nice to have precious memories in one place.  Since our albums span 20+ years, this may be a project to continue enjoying all winter!
