August Habit #27 Right Side Out

Dear FlyLady,

My son is wheelchair dependent, so his ability to participate in basement laundry is limited.  I have, however, worked hard to teach him to take off his clothes so they’re not inside out.   This isn’t something I do.  In fact I’ve always folded and put away my own clothes however they come.

This month though I’ve been paying attention and I noticed how much easier, how much time I save with his clothes.  Then I thought about how hard it would be, how long it would take in my evening routine to remove my own clothes right side out.  THEN I thought about how much time I’d save,  folding my clothes, finding my clothes, and getting dressed in the morning if I wasn’t always turning my clothes around.      AHA!  Baby steps and routines save time!

So my laundry tip:  remove your clothes so that they go into the laundry right way around.

Thanks for all your support!
