Dear FlyLady,

I want to thank you for your inspiration in my life. I am barely fluttering at times, I don’t even have my routines all down, but we have seen a big difference in our house. I have found my divided dirty clothes basket is wonderful in dealing with the laundry. I see what bag is full and throw it in the wash.

I am 13 weeks pregnant with 2 toddlers. This week we have all been sick with bad colds. Yesterday I was feeling sorry for myself, I haven’t had much sleep with 2 sick kids and was so tired, my family is far away so no help there. I knew DH wouldn’t be much help when he came home from work because he has been sick too.I looked around at the mess and really felt sorry for myself.

Then I decided I can’t handle 15 minutes, but I can work for 5! So, I set my timer for 5 minutes and got busy. I worked for 5 min or longer and then rested and drank water for 5 min. Between 5:30 pm and 8 pm, I emptied the dishwasher, reloaded it and ran it and shined my sink, vacuumed the floor, threw all of DD’s toys that were scattered around in a large clothes basket, moped the kitchen, fixed dinner for my family, bathed my 2 DD’s, took a shower, cleaned up DDs room (put away the clothes basket full of toys!) and put away the clean laundry that had been sitting on the back of the couch for 2 days! All in little bits of time!

Even though DD still didn’t let me get much sleep last night, I felt so much better getting up to a clean house, I got dressed (to the shoes) braided my hair, and am drinking my water.
