Today, on my way home from my annual doctor visit; I got a call from my son. He read me an email from Constant Contact. They had temporarily suspended our account. This is an account that we have to pay a lot of money to send you our daily messages. As soon as I got home I began to try to contact them to fix this situation. I got someone after about 15 minute on hold but they could not help me. A nice person transferred to someone who could help me. The only issue is the phone kept ringing for over 30 minutes as I waited patiently. I felt like something was wrong. I got on Twitter to direct message customer service and I found a chat on their website. They helped me to find out who our personal account representative and Aaron was quite helpful. Sure enough they were having phone problems.
After about 30 minutes explaining what we do and how we change people’s lives with our behavior modification emails; they turned our email system back on. They questioned how we collected the email addresses of our membership. I showed them our join page and how everyone has to put their own email address in twice to be part of our CHAOS Reducing FlyLady System. Needless to say my blood pressure was going up and I was feeling myself get defensive.
We go out of our way to make sure that only people who want to find peace in their homes get signed up. Then we make it easy for you to unsubscribe at the bottom of every email. If a FlyBaby cannot figure out how to do it by themselves; we are happy to help them. We will also still be here when they are ready to come back and allow the emails to sink in!
In order for Constant Contact to give us any credibility they need to see our open rates go up. I explained that most people read their email in a preview screen. So here is what I need you to do, please.
- Open up some of our emails every day and read
- Click on a picture or a link.
- Reply to a message
- and if you want to unsubscribe just go to the bottom of any email and click Safe Unsubscribe. Please don’t get mad and be vengeful. I know you are living in CHAOS and need help. We are here for you!
