Dear FlyLady,
The calendar has been part of our lives for at least five years. Our refrigerator is stainless steel, so the calendar won’t stick to the front of it, and the sides are enclosed in cabinetry. So, we have found, that the door to our garage, which is steel, is the perfect place for our calendar.
Also, you can’t get out to the car without being forced to see that calendar right in front of you. We have three active teenage boys, and my husband and I both work, and our entire family is involved in volunteer work. Our lives are very busy to say the least. The calendar is and indispensable tool for our family.
The squares have lines are big enough to accommodate everyone’s activities. The stickers make it fun and colorful. We also use a different color marker for me, my husband, and the boys. Family activities, and activities relating to worship, also get their own colors.
I have tried to teach to the boys the value of looking at the calendar in the morning and before bed. Even though my husband and I and our oldest son share electronic calendars, the paper calendar keeps everyone in the know. It is, hands down, the best calendar I have ever used (and I’m a calendar and planner junkie). Nothing compares to its functionality.
